as a few of you know im doing an e34 3.6 m5 conversion on my e30 and its getting nr the end now. ive got dimensions for the core for a radiator i am gonna have fabricated by Radtec in coventry. they are 48cm width by 35cm width with a deep core of 7cm
this actully gives an increased volume over the stock e34 m5 radiator which had a thinner core
question is.... does this mean it will be good enough for cooling???
not long left til its done...cant wait
cheers
Karan

twin is good for a rectangular rad but ones is ok for a square rad like the one planned....
i will be putting in a electric fan though for sure.... and the rad will be mountd from the front of the car in the gap as this is the onl way possible
rad and prop to be made nxt week, then it willl be trailored to an exhaust place to0 have the manifold and zorst done

i'm gonna hazard a guess that because of the thicker core, and you saying it has a larger volume than the standard rad, then i would say it will be more than good enough mate.
7cm is very thick
7cm is very thick

What fan/fans are you using karan?
Gareth came up with a very clever set up for his m30 using a citroen BX twin fan setup;

the only thing i'd add about the BX fans is that the aerofoil on the vanes on the fans faces the wrong way! this is because in the BX the fans sit inside the engine bay between the rad and engine (sucking), in a E30 they have to sit in front of the rad (blowing). they still low well but not as efficiently as they could do...
still not had any overheating issues (after wiring them the right way round that is!!!!!!!)
i suspect the fans will sit in the space needed for the rad though...
