Drove one the a few days ago - 4.6 litre V8 with 347bhp.

What an amazing machine. While it was an Auto the switchtronic (buttons on steering wheel) works really well and the gearchages are more than quick enough.
0-60 is very quick but its the 60-120mph bit thats even more impressive. I thought my 3.8 M5 was very quick but this thing is just that bit quicker to make you say - *ucking hell!!
The noise is simply amazing aswell.

I will try to bring it to the the next meet.

After helping in changing the clutch I drove an Alpina B8 4.6 now that is quick! Infact its quicker than a E39 M5!

Not too long ago (a few weeks) i stripped down a S38 3.8 M5 engine for a rebuild which is going to the Ring very soon so we will see how that performs. (if the new solid valves turn up)

I went in both of Sal's M5 cars yesterday, and I must say, this was a different experience. Prefer the 3.6 over the 3.8 simply because we live in a shit country where us motorists are looked down upon, so a car that good would be a waste !

But I certainly know what my next BMW will be : E34 or E39 ///M or Alpina variant winkeye

Exactly Si.

I am quite hesitant to even hit 100mph in my run-around 318i, forget 6-pot power, lest I should get more grief from the money-sucking vampire law-makers

But the next car has to be a 'proper' ///M or Alpina !

Sal's 3.8 was doing 25mph in 4th gear, and still pulled like a train from there to 60 in a flash, without changing gears. Now THAT is how proper engines should behave...

How do you know its quicker than an E39 m5? I can tell you now its NOT.

Oh I forgot, your the bloke who reckons his 200bhp 318iS is faster than an E34 M5.

Dont take this personally Andrew but you really should think before you post. Something I believe alot of people are telling you to do.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll reply saying that your right and I'm wrong or something to that effect.

Glad you enjoyed the back to back ride in both cars. Thanks for setting up all of my computers with Wireless and sorting other problems out.

I have to admit the 3.8 was simply to quick for the roads around me.

if you thought the 3.8 was quick, I'll have to call you down when i get hold of the B10! As said above, its just that bit quicker.

Were you impressed by the handling on the 3.6?

If the 3.8 is too quick for the roads try your hands in an e60 m5! its simply a license looser !

There is an M6 in my area and the guy drives it hard. It really goes like nothing else I've seen and makes the most amazing noise. Pure class from BMW.

Okay then sal, the guy who had both cars (B8 and E39 M5) didnt drive both cars and didnt say the B8 was quicker. (i also drove both cars and i would say the B8 is quiker)

And yes im the bloke in the 200bhp 318is who RACED A E34 M5 and it didnt go much faster than me, at no point did i say the E34 M5 i raced was slower than me what i did say was that it could not pull away at a high speeds (or any speeds). Think what you want but at least i dont lie about my BHP figures and dont feel ashamed about posting graphs/run figures, you brag about how much your friends alpina is putting down on the rollers but he tells other people on other forums a different story. (i would expect 230bhp from a M20 after spending the amount your friend has, and thats not the power its putting down)

Anyway sal im bored with you now.

I think everyone is bored with your rants.

You know what, I dont think people want to listen to this crap you come out with.

You've obviously got some personal problem with me, why cant you keep it off the forum rather than piss everyone else off in the process.

Andrew, your meant to be a moderator and your not behaving like one. Your meant to be a grown up but your not acting like one.

Take your anger and frustration elsewhere.

My old man had an M6 for over a month and all i can say is ive never been in anything like it. For most people something like an e46 330i is quick.. One had a pop @the M6 off the lights and it might as well have been sat with its handbrake on (M6 was 4 up also!)

The noise and the power of the new M cars is phenomenal.. 11mpg average is just plain painful

I look forward to the day I get to drive or even get a passenger ride in one.

There's an m6 that goes past my house every day and he really canes it. The noise is phenominal and it goes like nothing else Ive seen.

I'd love to buy one but the depreciation is so bad I cant justify it.

Give it up Simon. All your trying to tell people is that Im some kind of fraudster/liar and have consistently gone behind my back and slagged me off to people and other forums.

Everyone is getting bored and everyone can see through it.

I'm grown up enough to put my differences aside and get on with life - are you?

What I find strange is that one min your all good, as soon as I have the smallest difference in opinion with Andrew you start a huge Anti M5Pilot and Anti E30Zone Shop Campaign.

I haven't started anything nor am i going to join in. People have made up their own minds on all of us. What we say or do is not going to really influence them on here, not now anyway

All i can see is u two chasing each other round the forum winding each other up. Theres also been a few posts by u trying to reel me in again.

How i see it is Andrew is someone who bases his knowledge on facts and experience

U are someone who in true salesman style bends the truth a little to get your view point across. Nothing wrong with that, thats how some people are.

This leads to the clashes, i can't be bothered to try any more and most know when u are talking in salesman mode anyway

I do not need to SELL anything, most of these products sell them selves. The advertising is already done by the manufacturers and members here who use the products.

As for your comment about me bending the truth - ok then.

You know very little about my own experience and what Ive done. I just dont go round boasting about it.

Just to make one thing very very clear to you - The Zone Shop was setup to serve the members. It just about pays for itself - usage of part of my office, rates, phone calls, accounting fees, admin fees, banking fees etc etc. I do it because I like to do it. Its fun dealing with E30 Performance parts for some part of the day.
My main income is from properties and I am a proffessional accountant.
This is a known fact by many of the older members here who know me very well.

As for Demlot - I have very little repsect for people who have black and white personalities. One on one they are all fine. In a group or infront of people (like here) they have to show they are Mr big. I have very little respect for people who are so arrogant and openly offend people and try to ruin reputations. I have no respect for people who cant admit when they are wrong even when they have cocked up seriously. A small apology goes a long way. I paid him to do a job, he fucked it up and then some how I am the bad guy......???!!! :banghead:
And I certainly dont have repect for anyone who sits behind a keyboard and says anything he likes but when it comes to face to face they dont say anything.

Demlot - I sent you a PM yesterday night.

Chill guys! :)

If you are having trouble driving fast on the roads, take it to a track for fu*k sake!

You can make progress in a quick car, but nothing like as well as you can on track. There is more than a few trackdays around the country every weekend, there's no excuse!

Im not the one who lost my cool at the last Ace cafe meet, your not the one who told me to keep my voice down at the last Ace cafe meet, Sal i dont need to earn your respect, theres nothing i need from you (Except a set of H&R ARB's) Your not my friend and i dont see you on a day to day basis, i really could not give two shades of shite about who or what you respect.

Yet again im bored and this is getting out of hand!

Yet again a rude and arrogant response.

As for Aces - I tried to approach you to forget the past and you behaved like a complete twat. Child.

I only have one issue to sort out with you (PM) after which I wont bother approching you again but will not behave like you if you contact or speak to me.

So you gonna take me for a ride in it down those roads again? if youve mastered driving it already I have a feeling you will scare me this time.

B10's are quick, and if yours is quicker then your Jap car is an absolute monster.

Any idea of the power output??

260-80 at the wheels but its only 1250kgs

only running 13psi, but with new injectors will be able to run 18psi 8O

mastered it the 2nd day i bought it.... a lot easier to drive than an e30

those roads are dodgy though cos of coilovers being so hard and little travel in the suspension... i wouldnt go flat down there in this cos id be doing silly speeds
