Hello,

Just give it a tug either way and it should come off no problem.
I changed mine on my tourer for one with map lights. Take off the sun visors and the front of the headlining will drop down slightly enabling you to get access. After running the wire through use the wooden end of a small hammer on the edge of the new mirror to force in. If you have not got the wiring that runs down to the accesories box behind the glovebox then wire one side to the purple striped wire going to your sunroof switch using a wire tap and the other wire to earth, I used a sunroof motor retaining bolt for earth.
The purple sunroof wire is only powered when either your doors are open or the ignitions on so there is no worry about leaving the map lights on and running your battery flat.
good luck with fitting & take your time.
