iv just got back from takeing my friends home, i headed back on the north walsham road, in front of me was a 318i convertable(e36) and infront of him was a pice of crap! (saxo)
he over took the saxo and i followed suit. i think he tried to boot it, so i dropped her in to fourth, i was right up his ass, now here comes the straight.... i put the pedal to the metal, the 320 bursts into life, i indicate and overtake him...the 320 still gaining speed. i slam her into fith... a sigh of relief from the 320 as shes moved up a cog. i glance in my rear view mirror, the e36 was but a dot in the distance, i do a double take at the speedo.....are my eyes deciveing me???? i was doing 110!!! so i slowed down and took my turning to spixworth.. just another friday night. my moment has gone. thought i would share that with ya! shes still got it!!! lol.

I much prefer blowing away the new MINI, even in Cooper guise no match for a 325i even before I put the Zone chip in.
Last one was in an area I knew had cameras so was sticking to the speed limit (60mph) . Had a MINI tailgating me, why do they all thing they are driving the quickest thing on the road
, anyway national speed limit sign, carpet/pedal interface goodbuy MINI. I backed off at 120 when he was a dot in the rear view

As Steve says, beating a heavier, less powerful car is nothing to really shout about.
Glad you had fun though
The new Mini is a good car, if you've driven one it really handles quite nicely (and you can see the link to BMW

if you had have seen his face it probably would have been shaking from side to side as he thought what a pratt driving at 110mph on a public road, and that you really dont deserve to have a license if you have to look down at your speedo to ascertain what sort of speed you were going.

I know that section of road quite well. Good visibility.
The road from St Faiths to Spixworth is a right old wobble on though, there's so many dips that it throws the car all over.
Still prefer the A11 for high speed runs, keeping an eye out for old bill on the wymondham slip roads. Thickthorn services to Attleborough turnoff (11 miles) in 4 1/2 mins

nah not a do gooder each to their own, am a holder of Class C race license and a trackday instructor so my view is there is a time and a place for doing 110mph and the public roads are not that place. you may or hopefully may not find out one day why those speeds are not for the public road, you my friend may be well capable of driving at 110 or 210 mph but the others out there most certainly will not be, there is no such thing as good visibility as you put it late at night, on coming cars yes pedestrians no, animals no, a parked car no etc etc etc.
but as i said hopefully you will never find that out.
