Had a search of the forum and realise that is not unusual. In mine the battery box and what I would call the rear valance has obviously be filled with plastic filler. It has now rusted through only a small amount thankfully.

What I thought was to grind out the bad stuff and get a plate welded in and the buy a new valance and get it attached.
My question is is this the best idea and secondly does anyone no a part no. for the valance as I can't find one.

Any help appreciated.

Hi, There are two types of valance pre face lift and the newer face lift models and I think the valance comes as part of the back panal so it would be easyer to repair it as it only a small bit bit of rust.
