Most of the differences between 320i and 325i are under the bonnet sadly!

Ignition system (leads/plugs/rotor/dizzy/coil) are the same, rocker covers are the same, water pump and cooling system are the same.

Engine internals are different, airflow meters, intake pipe, throttle body are different.

Not much point really, but if it's got nice interior, wheels, uprated suspension, 320i SE will also have OBC, then it may be worth it.

320 diff is too low geared for a 325, box will fit, has better ratios, but is reputed to be weaker. Exhaust will fit, but is different. Altenator will fit, but is possibly of a slightly lower output, and AFAIK, starter motor is the same.

Alternators are common between 320i and 325i, but there are different voltages, I assume due to different equipment.
Power steering pumps are the same, and starters are the same, allthough there are different types.

hi all

thanks for the info guys i thought more parts would be usable but i will sell all the stuff that is no good to me and keep the 320i head for a 2.7 conversion as ive read some stuff saying that it is better than my 325i head but will look into that more when the time comes.
