Hello guys and girls, I have had my e30 cab for three years now and it is nearly compleated it was in a dyer state when i got it. It need alot of new parts including roof, exhaust, all round breaks, heater matrix, alternater etc to name but a few of the parts that have been replaced i have spent nearly £4,000 on her and still there is more to do but the car is almost finished and looking good :D . I also upgraded from a 2 ltr to the 2.5 ltr with close-ratio gearbox and lsd. :D winkeye So its time for a new project and i suddenly stummbled across a E28 M535i for sale at £900, £900 now that sounds cheap. So I ring the guy up and he still has it. Now at this price i know its gonna need some work but after my E30 i thought it will be ok so i head from birmingham to Newquay to pick it up. So now im in newquay looking at the car and boy does it need alot of work but mainly cosmetic, so im not detered by leather seat that has disintergrated and end up purchaseing the car for £550. Driving back i prey that it does not blow-up on me, but i needn't worry because the engine is fine and sat at around 90 to 100 mph all the way back it took four hours but that 3.5 ltr was sweet. So i just thought i'd share with other zoners my delight at picking up a decent project to run along side my cab. So now for the pics, Hopefully you guys will like her. Oh and if anybody knows of any good websites or people that can help me restore her back to her former glory, that would be greatly apprieciated. ImageImageImage

Wow! I would love one of these things. Looks great. Although an e28 M5 would be amazing! Love these cars! :D

Wicked. A good purchase for £550!!!

Just sold my B plate 525e for £500, so an M535i for that money is good.

Will have to get some better photos to post up of the new beast for us!

i had an e28 m535i... was a bitter dissappointment after my e30 m3 3.5!

handled like sh1t, felt slow, big and the brakes with the set up used on e28's was shocking...

good luck with yours tho...

I got pissed off with mine and sold it for £500 in the end and bought the 328i sport In my sig pic. Shame really as mine had new wings, no rot, dogleg box and was ok bar a couple of niggly things.

LOL - yeah it was but thats because the M3 had a tuned engine in (Its now Kos' car) - I thought the e28 would be similar power delivery, but it just never was... and anyway i lost patience with it as it kept braking down over winter and was my daily driver...

Also, e28 uses steering box, not a rack and i didnt like that either.

I dont balme you to be honest mate, i doubt there are many BMW's that could come close to your old M3. Im always disapointed in one way or another with every newer bmw i drive. Even the e46 M3 is nowhere near as much fun

Thank you all for your kind coments, i will get some better pics up soon. The pics that you guys have seen were taken by the seller, and arent of good quality i trusted these pics and travelled 300 miles to see this car. Now i know why the pics were taken the way they were and in the light they were taken in. The body work is very shabby on one side and needs respraying. The only thing that dont need respraying is the roof and the passanger side front and rear doors. apart from that i need to respray the rest of the car. :( But there is always light at the end of the tunnel because i think this car will be a good alternative to my e30 325 cab in the winter and it looks extra retro kool winkeye  And it does go like very fast, faster than my 325i cab. Anywayz will keep whoever is interest posted. Nidul

Looking good there Nidal, you ain't gonna believe this but, I've got an E28 525e here in Cirrus Blue that belongs to Dips. It's eventually gonna end up being broke but has some excellent panel work on her, it has spent the last 15 years being driven around Stevenage and parked in a garage - there's virtually no rot on the car.

If there's anything you need let me know mate

Neil.
