Hi there , can anyone tell me if I can use an H23 dog leg box and diff on my 325i ?

Also can I use the 6 branch and exhaust on my 325i ?, I'm going to put another cam in and thinking of a 2.7 conversion later on.

Cheers , ! By the way, cool site

should work well, direct 1:1 in 5th from the gearbox will give good acceleration in top! Everone else has 5th as an overdrive economy gear

what ratio is the diff? 3.64? does it have hartges naughty 40% lockup?

one of the best accelaration set ups ive seen is with a 323i dogleg gearbox , a 3.25 ratio m3 lsd diff! 325i prop !! very good accelaration and revving enjoy!! And bud u cant go wrong with hartge!!

a 3.6 diff will be to low for this box. it will do about 115 in fifth. just useless, and the exceleration wont be any better, your just changing gear all the time.

you need the correct 3.25 ratio. sounds like the proper diff was possibly smashed and replaced with a 3.64 from a 325.

early dogleg diffs were small case. but the larger m3 one will do.

I had Birds do their H23 conversion to a 323i with dog leg back in '86 - they made it nice enough to keep for 5 years. As JonB says - these come with the 3.25:1 rear diff. You'll enjoy it ROCKINRON, keep it on cam and it'll outrun a 325i on acceleration, but the 325i will just outgun it on top speed if it has the right diff.

Thing is the Gear box and diff are of the smaller/weaker variety and thus cant take much abuse!
