why are you ruling out a turbo or supercharger conversion? you cant beat the kick up the arse you get when 15+psi of boost kicks in

Turbo is the way to go , monster torque increase, around 40% minimum increase.
S14 internals are very well specced and will stand some FI abuse , conatct "Rowdy Burns" on the forum, hes done an S14 Turbo install with Wasted spark( EDIS), good results too.

Thanks for the help lads, where do i go for these parts tho...? and sorry for soundin stupid but whats the alpha N...?And has anyone done this on this site and how much did it cost. willing to spend about 5-6000 euro.
On the turbo kits, I've had evo's and subaru's and just don't like the power delivery, no offence to anyone i think the work that the turbo guys do to make them work is brillant and fair play, but just not for me.

You can get most parts from there.
Alpha N is engine managment system. Are you doing the work yourself

This is true, but in reality its just not possible to tune the maps while trying to hold 5k RPM in fourth!maxfield wrote:You can tune alpha N from a laptop inside the car by urself
You really need a peggable rolling road to tune properly.

100% agreed !You really need a peggable rolling road to tune properly.
you can map on the road quite sucessfully, however the pegged road speed offered on the dyno makes reaching specific load sites a lot easier, and you can tune for best power.
saves some extrapolation, although personally I use datalogs to dial in the last 5% of the map.
Bottom line for anyone cosidering this route, decide what you want from it before lashing the cash, and take lots of advice too.
