My 325 just started interfering with its own radio!
There's an engine speed related ticking/crackle noise which gets quite loud higher up the revs. Is this a common thing or is there a simple fix?
(please!)
Thanks

Right, i'm no expert but from your description, it sounds like something electrical is breaking down.
Could be something as simple as a dodgy connection somewhere.
Check all your cables (back of the stereo/battery/alternator and earths) and if it all looks ok, fitting a supressor (on the output of the alternator, i think!) should stop it!!
Depends on your sound system, but it's weird if it's just started without any changes being made to the system.
Happens quite a bit when changing standard stereo's for aftermarket stuff - dunno if standard one's have filters/supressors etc built in or what!!
May or may not be the problem but i hope it helps!!
Supressors can be got from most car hi-fi shops!!

The radio will adjust to low signal levels automatically, but your interference will remain at the same level.
The means that the effect you are hearing can also be caused by a poor
aerial lead and/or connections. You can diagnose this by the tuner being a bit feeble at pulling in the stations even with the engine off.
