I've got a spare ECU (073) for my 325i sport, which i want to put a zone chip in.
I've opened it up tonight, but on looking inside, it looks nothing like the ECU used in the chip fitting guide, as it seems to have a board top and bottom, with the main parts between the two.
How do I access where the chip is, with the top board covering everything, or is there a way of removing the top board?

there's a row of pop fasteners along the back edge between the two PCBs, pop those and gently lift the upper board, then @ the front look through the two slots in the upper PCB and you'll see retaining tags, gently push those down and slide the upper PCB away from the main connector, the upper will then be freed
Be careful with the ribbon cable, they are brittle so don't open the boards more than 90 degrees from each other

Cheers for that Ant.
The outer two are coming off easily, but the middle one doesnt want to know, and dont want to force it.
If the worst comes to the worse, and the middle one snaps, will it still work do you know?
