Ok...so I've had the touring for a couple of weeks and I'm working through all the little bits & pieces, as you do.
Exhaust is blowing so off to Central Tyres (just outside work so nice & handy).
"I'd like a new front exhaust section for me motor - non cat" sez me.
"OK Sir"....(look through books)..."Er..they don't list an estate Sir. Are you sure it's not a saloon?" sez fitter.
"It's not an estate, it's a Touring numbnuts & you watched me drive it on to your bloody ramp so you can see for yourself what it is" sez I.
More looking through books.
"Well Sir, it looks like you'll have to ditch your 2 piece system and bend over while we shaft you for a complete 3 peice system coz' that's all thats listed" sez fitter.
More looking through books & mumbling.
Bottom line is nobody seems to do the front section of a 2 part exhaust system for an 89' car! Not even GSF & Euro!
I've checked on the ETK, and the same part is used on 320i & 325i Touring, 2 dr, 4 dr and Cab so what's the story?
Surely this can't be right? Someone must do them.
Anyone care to enlighten me?
Touring Exhausts - what's the story?

ECP show centre systems being in stock for 2 piece systems, there's 2 different quality types available too.
GSF have never done 2 piece centre systems.
2 piece systems are no different between tourings and saloons.

Cheers Simon.
I checked GSF myself.
I got the fact that there's no difference between saloon & touring, but I'm amazed that ECP seem to be the only ones that do the front section.
How come???

You can get genuine BMW exhausts from here too...
http://www.motormec.co.uk/
Definitely worth paying the extra money for, as they last for years.

E30 Stock Clearance, all the parts are reduced to clear, whilsts stocks last. All prices plus VAT
18 10 1 719 227 Exhaust Down Pipe 325i 1 £23.23.
With ECP charging £99 + VAT for an OEM item, guess who's going to be on the phone in the morning
I'll let you know how I get on.

EDIT - Just checked the part number against the ETK and it's only the plain pipes between the fannymold & the middle box in a 3 part system.....bugger, bugger, bugger, bugger
