Picked this up at the weekend :D

Genuine 2.7 Alpina engine installed by BMW back in 1997.

Was originally a 318i and the previous owner left it looking standard.

Cheers Demlotcrew for coming to see it with me to make sure its genuine :D

Here's a couple of pics, it was up for £1795 and i got it for £1550 with 6 months Tax & M.O.T

Future plans are to put the engine, LSD and sports gearbox into a white 2 door.

Sweet!

With that 318i badge it's very very cool IMO.

Are you breaking the tourer then? :(

Sounds like a plan mate, you got a good deal there. Once the engine and box are in a decent 2 door shell it will be even better.

What are your plans for it, road or track?

Naaaaa leave it in the touring much cooler car and more practical IMO and you don't see many touring's with 2.7's
Especially if it was fitted by BMW, there are so many cars kicking around with "pina" engines whos origin can't be proved.

No it hasn't, just the normal log.

It certainly pulls better, quite noticably better than a stock 2.5

Saw the BMW bill for swapping the 2.7 engine, suspension, diff etc over to the touring shell, £3000+ OUCH!

I love seeing peoples faces when I slide the touring about. They don't expect it from a "family" car!

I totally agree, drifting the entirety of a roundabout is hilarious watching peoples faces!
