I have heard a rumor that the cables are already in position for fitting the oe tweeter pods?
Would this be true, or if not what will i need to fit a set?
Thanks Dave

yeh that is true, ive had loads of e30s and not all of them had this wiring option, anyway the wires are coloured i think light grey and yellow, and light grey and light green.
but if you havent got a set of wiring already fitted, its gona be a b*stard of a job(thats only if you do it properly as in through the door rubbers.

but let me know how easy it is to get a wire through the rubber thingy to the door as i am about to fit some door builds with 6" speakers .....when the weather gets warmer...and it stops raining

I just ignored the OE tweeter wiring in the end and ran all new wires from the head unit to cross over, then from there to speaker and tweeter!
Also since my original post i have replaced the front pods with the genuine factory ones, but dumped the Nokia tweeter inserts and bonded in the infinity ones, looks original and sounds pretty good too!
Plenty of room to run fresh wire through the rubber boot but a bit fiddly,i used a piece of wire coat hanger, with the new wire taped to it,to guide it through, made life easier.
