Hi, I was underneath my sport at the weekend and noticed that the Front anti roll bar has 3 holes either end which I presume is stiffness adjustment. The rear one has 2 holes either side.

Anyone know if these are aftermarket items? They are painted red.

I got a couple of M3 ARB's for the touring project but they look the same size as the original 325i ones, should M3 ones not be slightly thicker?

yes the red ones are aftermarket, probably Eibach

m3 one is thicker on the rear by 1mm iirc and thinner on the front by 1mm

Althaught the extra holes are not intended for adjusting the sway bar i have heard of peaople turning the mounting around and adding some washers to fit it to the more centred hole putting more tension on the sway bar therefore increasing its stiffness.
