Click on the Zone Shop button at the top of the page and it takes you to the Zone Shop site http://www.xsperformance.co.uk/e30zone click on Engine Tuning - E30Zone Chips. They are £55 you just need to choose the correct one for your car.

I have a Zone chip on an auto and it is really good, midrange much improved and it just builds revs in any gear.

They do a mild and wild so talk to M5pilot who runs the Zone Shop, I have the mild chip due to the auto

I had mine on the rolling road before it went on, not had a chance to do an after run but it feels a lot quicker through the gears (midrange) and purked up the 0-60.

Aparently very easy to fit but saying that I didnt fit it

Did you pick the one that matches your engine size?

also being prefacelife you ecu may take 24pin chip not a 28 pin as the zone shop sells. The ecu can be adapted to fit a 28 pin if you are unlucky like me to have a 24 pin ecu. So the chip may not be as easy to fit as you think. I am looking for someone to adapt my ecu to 28 pin atm. Im not to good with the electrics side of things...

to adapt you'll need to take the chip to Maplin/RS, and ask them for 4 pins to suit the package, few pence each, then solder the pins into the existing holes in the PCB and job jobbed, BMW did this as an interim upgrade when the 24 pin chips died out in the V early 80s.

HTH

worst case, ship them to me and I'll mod for you, or contact Hoshy on the forum and see if he can help, he's a shropshire lad and a dab hand with an iron.

I would be interesting in chipping my car - 1986 325i 'vert, but I could not decipher the codes in the shopping list - sorry!

I got confused with >88 and 87> and stuff.
English like "before and including 1988" would work for me though.

I'm not going to go for it right away but could someone add some English or let me know the code I need?
