Electric Ariel wireing

hi i have fitted an electric ariel to my 316 but cant get it working the ariel itself works as ive tryed it accross the battery, i dont know whats wrong does any one know who to wire one up!!!!!

you should have 3 wires.
one wire bolts onto the bodywork (Negative)
one wire goes to the positive of the battery (Positive)
the 3rd goes to the remote wire of the radio. (remote)

Hi i have also got a relay thingy as well can i do away with this and just have the 3 wires connected straight to bat, neg and radio

do you attach the bit at the radio to radio negitive or something else does anyone know what couler the ant wire is at back of radio

The aerial trigger wire is usually blue at the back of the stereo. The BMW car wiring is white for the alarm trigger wire and red for the permanent 12V wire for the aerial.
These wires travel down the passenger side along with the speaker wires into the boot. There is a relay required for electric aerials, some have it as a separate item while others have it built in (e.g Beru aerials). The install instructions should show how to wire up.
