my friend does magicar alarms
they page you when someone gets near it, and it warns them away. since having it ive had no more attacks (i had two in two weeks at xmas)
i get a fair few pages tho, but i live opposite a school and the mums park here in our private car park.
when the kids or them get close the alarm beebs a few loud times and you can watch them tell their kids stay away from that car.
but if someone is set out to damaging ur motor they will do it i suppose. but if my alarm goes off like that i just hope it would limit what they can do.
magicar aint thatcham or anything tho, because you can start the engine from the alarm.
