Hello all,
I have just changed my cylinder head due to being cracked so could someone please tell me the torque setting for a m20 325i cylinder head.
Many thanks in advance......

30 NM, then 90 degrees, then 90 degrees, no retorque after running in required.

Do each to 30NM/22lbft then turn each 90 degrees and then each another 90 degrees.
Do you know the tightening sequence?

Did you clean the holes in the block where the studs screw into as maybe there's oil or dirt which is preventing the studs from going in properly or giving a false torque reading? Mine werent very hard to do up even the second time I did the 90 degrees to them all.

The second 90deg is not much harder than the first - the bolts are stretchy. If you leave them half done up I would not be surprised if you see head gasket problems. The key for the bolts is to make sure the holes are clear by blowing them out with an airline first, and if the threads are tight run a ground/slotted bolt to scrape out the crud before you put the lightly oiled new bolt in.
