The boys got a bargain in my opinion! He'd done the servicing on it for the old-boy owner since new and he's got it for £1500.
Its an E36 318 on a J plate. Its got 30k, always been serviced before needed, driven gently by old duffer (he gets 35-40mpg). Paintwork is excellent and so is bodywork coz its always been garaged. Interior is immaculate cloth, original sterio etc. Its grey, but i dont remember which grey (think its granite grey). Theres one downside....... because my grandfathe has done the servicing on it since new, theres no service history.

I think he's got a bargain. What do other people think? Opinions please.

Cheers guys.

Bit pricey for a 'J' reg E36 being only a 318 too. but with the mileage it makes it about right.

Can pic up the E36 325i now for £1500 all day long.

If its mint then :thumb: but remember its still a 15 year old car! So £1500 is still on the high side! But in the same breath a bargain because of the mileage.

But thats not everything, My wifes Micra has 30k on the clock, its a '97 model but is it worth more for the low mileage??? I dont think so!

E36 is a brilliant car even if u don't like the looks ( i like the coupes)

What an excellent price too

most E36 325's for 1500 will be hanging and have issues

s/h u know whats been done and who by so why does it matter now?!

Bit steep for a J plate, but the mileage will help if Grandpa is gonna keep it for a while.

i call it "mine" but i havnt got it back yet. its wierd. people still say to me "hows YOUR pretend SE?" even tho michelle owns it now. its like people still think of it as mine... like ive only lent it to michelle.
still remember the day she drove it away. had a lump in my throat like a golf ball. not a good day.

What was your Grandfathers intention when he bought it? In my opinion to know and have worked on the same car for 15 years has got to surely be pretty priceless. So fair play to him if he's happy then he's got a bargain!

he loves the car, but because he's been in the motor trade for so many years, old habbits die hard - if someone offered him good money for it, he'd probably sell it, regardless of how much it cost him or how much he likes it.
