is the e30 325i the same engine as in the e34 525i?

Depends on how old the E34 is... later E34's had a 24 valve unit.

1990 is when e34's switched to the m50 24v engine

So an 1988 525 would have the same engine but different ancillaries.
I only know this because I put some 525 injectors into my first sport, fook ed it up for a bit until I got it sorted!

so a 12v 525i engine is the same but would need new ancillaries? im new to this so would the ancillaries b hard to come by?
