Yeah, I was just looking for a bit of feedback really. Hoping to do some more E30 stuff in the future as well- perhaps something on the zone, a meet or a track day or something if there's anything coming up in the future I can have a crack at pitching.

Yeah i read it,i didnt realise you wrote for total.
I thought it was very good and a different approach to the normal articles which feature in the mag, not that im saying its normally crap becasue I buy every month ,and its always a good read.
I thought it was a good idea comparing the 2 cars as they were their companys biggest rivals when they came out to the public and in motorsport.
The m3 wins hands down no probs but i think it should have been up against the later merc cosworth (evo ?? ) ,and then it may have been a closer comparison.

cheers

Cheers, I think you're right- an Evo Merc would have made for a closer test and been a more visually exciting model to feature.

Unfortunately I was just working with what was available to me at the time and I borrowed the Merc from the Classic Car Club which meant I got to drive it for a week and get a decent feel for it whereas if I wanted an Evo Merc I'd doubt anyone would actually let me even have a go!!

Perhaps an Evo vs Evo test would be something we could do in future winkeye
