Basically i went to get a fuel filter today and the guy looked it up on his computer then sold me it. However it looks too short and too wide compared with my one? The part no of the one he gave me is: WK 830. Anyone know wether thats right? Looks so different to mine. Thanks in advance.

Got it from autosaver. Not dealers.

Then it may just be a generic part that happens to be listed for your car. You could go back and double check to be sure? Btw, fuel filters from the dealer are inexpensive.

I've never had any trouble getting them for my 318is from normal motor factors, but you could try looking at http://www.eurocarparts.co.uk/. I have always found them useful and get most of my parts from there.
