hi all, was thinking of changing it on mine, but where do i change it from? i downloaded haynes manual but the trnsmission pages are missing
also what oil do i use?

Might be worth having a look around the filler hole, my M3 'box has a sticker saying to use only ATF, although that may well not apply to other cars!

Its usually 80w gear oil but have a good look for a sticker on the clutch slave cylinder side of the box for a sticker stating ATF.
You'll need 2x 1 litre bottles with the extendable tubes as the filler hole is at a higher level than the floorpan.
Make sure you remove the filler plug first otherwise you might end up with an empty 'box and no way of filling it !. Then remove the bottom plug and drain it all out.
Best to do it while the oil is warm after a run as it can be quite thick in this cold weather.
