Hi, spent the whole day yesterday swapping the M3 Suspension onto my touring.

I fitted the M3 diff but when I offered up the driveshafts (supposedly m3 items) they didn't fit the diff flanges. The diff flange looks slightly bigger and has a "flower :gay: " kind of shape inside. Anyone know whats wrong?
I'll get some pics up tonight which will explain better.

And the Front struts have a link bar attached, where do these attach to on an m3? I presume its on the inner wing somewhere?

Please Help !

Ok here's the pics...

The M3 Strut with link thingy, if it attaches to the anti roll bar then I think I've been ripped off cause I can't see anywhere for it to attach. I'll check realoem soon.

Is that the flange for the drive shaft or the propshaft?

This is what I have with the 2 jointed parts attaching to the wishbones, the same as my original 325 setup.

Ok Guys, just took a wheel off for a look. The link bar from the strut looks like it could fit onto the anti roll bar. So the anti roll bar is connected to the struts rather than the wishbones on the standard 325 setup.

Don't know what difference that would make but I presume it must be better than the standard setup ! :?

I must have spent too long under the car yesterday!

It must be a better setup geese as this is the way the M3 is setup 8)
It obviously pull's on the strut as apposed to being forced up by the wishbone? 8)
That will help to keep the chassis stiff/body roll and then the shock's and spring's sort the corner's out
Don't the M3 have 2 wishbone's either side then?
Is that not a better setup?

drop links attach straight onto the roll bar you remove the arm mounts as they are no longer needed - its like having a thicker roll bar due to the way it acts on the strut now

your output looks very different to mine.. your driveshaft looks the same
