I currently have a 318 but i have just got hold of a 325 engine. does anyone know what is involved with swapping the engines over. i have got the 325 gearbox clutch ecu and wiring loom. i will change the back axle for the disk brakes. do i need new engine mounts and a shorter prop shaft? any help would be great

It's a good idea to put new engine mount's on as your doing a conversion with a bigger/heavier engine!
Gear linkages
Coding plug for instrument cluster's
325i Prop shaft
Engine loom straight into plug
Radiator with intercooler
Water bottle
51mm Front strut's....(Edit) With vented disc's, caliper's & carrier's
Anymore lad's????.......as i'm doing this conversion myself

you have mentioned the coding plugs for the speedo what's the difference and where can i get them from? does the loom go to where the ecu is and just plug straight in?

The coding plug sort's out the info for the cluster's other wise your rpm will be all over the show325sport wrote:you have mentioned the coding plugs for the speedo what's the difference and where can i get them from? does the loom go to where the ecu is and just plug straight in?
You use just the engine that plug's into your igsisting plug under the bonnet for your reset tool
