You may have big problems ever selling it on, if you wish to keep it and chuck money at it like everyone else seem's to do then get a deal on going.
Use the dodgy history to get the price down.
Sounds good.
Having said that, I walked away from one last year for Ԛ£3,500.
You pay's your money, you make your choice.
Good luck Gareth.

This is cheap for a mint motorsport, but as said that history is offputting. If you like it i would go for it, and get that price down on the cat c write off issue.

Cat C is the code insurers use for repairable, check where the car was repaired and what damage it sustained this category usually means light accident damage with no chassis or structural damage to load bearing points on the vehicle. This usually means it either sustained light panel damage/ wing/door/lights or it may have been stolen recovered with lock damage check out what it was before parting with your cash and that he has some sort of documentation from a vehicle testing station or similar to say that all repairs have been carried out properly if he has this then a cat c car is usually a good buy but it should be reflected in the price you pay that it has been written off .

i would buy it .
nothing wrong with buying a cat c if its repaired properly.
dont think it would be hard to sell again either
just my opinion though

An E30 recorded cat C in 2002 is likely to have been only very lightly damaged. Little more than cosmetic.
Saw a genuine sport a few weeks ago that needed little more than a wing, bumper, headlamp and front panel, but it was cat B (break only).
