As above!!

I have picked a 316i with somewhat major overheating issues... Replaced the head gasket and did a bit of test etc (my frst one..) now just need a crank sensor to get it started. Car is a my sisters in manchester.. Has 81 000 on it though and in nice (if very dirty condition)

Also just won a 98 000 mile 318is for 340 on ebay... can you go wrong with this! Gonna pick it up this weekend...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1

 it is a bit confusing, I found the old zone that kept me busy!

All those pics are still work in progress as I've only just started pulling the engine loom to bits - the alternator starter motor cable was rotten. I shall be putting some 4G in there instead

it's going nuts on here!

Oz

190bhp
190lbs :D

i was pleased. it's running very lean though. Throttle position switch is knackered to the ECU is not using the right maps (idle and WOT). Few other bits and bobs, but i know there is an alpina claimed 210bhp lurking in that lump! only got to find 20 of each! :?

I've had a busy last few weeks too, stage 2 installed and running, then a complete strip down and new head gasket and uprated head bolts. Many other new parts along the way and tonight I rekindled my love for the sound of my boosted 6 cylinder M20

Bring on the summer time

Changed the oil (what a bastard place the filter's in).

Removed the headlining to investigate how easy it is to remove the sun roof (looks like it isn't).

Fixed the dodgy speedo (broken wires so bodged it together with some crimp terminals at the diff).

At last the E36 seats are in and secure.
Put in a new Radio
New sub and custom box
Chrome Dial Rings
10disc changer

Started getting the bits together for the OBC retrofit (stil after some bits)

Got a new rear lip spoiler, which im putting on this week.

It's mad i bought the car to fix up and sell on and know all i want to do is work on it and have some fun with the roof down.

since the zone has been down i got my lovely 190e though its MOT with just two patches of welding. Gave it a full new interior, new radiator fan wired up to a factory illuminated switch, wired up a full set of factory speakers and cleaned her up... i forgot how good my merc looks clean...

anyhow, BMW wise my M535i hasn't done much, because i have been saving. just bought a sainless steel exhaust for it, a full set of polly bushes, new disks and pads all round, new braided brake hoses... and hopefully when i can afford it, a respray.. then bring on the ring on the 25th of July!

I have sold my e30 :( but to the university motor club... so me and my mates now own it as a group :-D ... and we have stripped the hell out of it, lowered it, replaced the steering rack with a manual one, got a KnN filter (after welding the HUGE hole in the floor up), soon to be running on a custom ECU with the help of my mates at m-tech automotive (http://www.mtechautomotive.co.uk/) and we've already given it one outting at donnington park.. that prooved rather sidways....

Image

Image

Image

while some yuppy in an m3 went around passing us a few times... then turned the traction control off cos he thought he was the king of donnington park... pillock!

Image

we avoided trashing the e30 but my mate nerly killed his mr2...

Looking sideways but under control
Image

evidently not the case...
Image
breath in and hope that the alfa driver is watching where your going...!

then finally I CONVERTED A VAG MAN! my good mate James is a BIG Golf nut and has a mad mk2 gti (which i have to admit is something else) but he wanted a fast motorway car... so he bought a 325i touring with a bit of gentle persuasion.. and its awesome. metallic dark grey/black, 17" alpinas, full leather interior, sports switchable automatic, ait conditioning, new engine 20-30,000 miles ago.. runs like a dream.. awsome, only a few hundred ford mad friend to convert!

James 325i Touring as you may have seen on ebay!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1990-BMW-325I-TOU ... dZViewItem

Finally got my Audi Coupe through an MOT and picking up a full set of leather seats for her this week i hope. (see red coupe)
Image
p.s. every car there belongs to our house hold (apart from the VAN)... my red coupe, my housemate Ant's quattro, housemate Lukes merc, my merc (behind the van gf's KA and other housemates coupe 16v) and opposite.. the beloved M535i... our neighbours fu*king hate us!

then my housemate sold his audi quattro..
Image
after getting it in PPC (see next months Audi Coupe buyers guide) and bough himself an e39 for £4500... he only went and got a 4.4v8 in black with leather seats...
Image
and its got a MANUAL box.... Son of a B1TCH!

My other housemate decided after his quattro series 2 failed its MOT he would buy another quattro T&T with 197k on the clock and its pretty much... MINT! hehe

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1986-AUDI-QUATTRO ... dZViewItem

Its been a German car fest here over the last few weeks!! hehe
1986 e28 M535i (gone and missed)
1988 e30 320i cab (full resto STILL in progress)
1996 Volvo 850 T-5 estate (280bhp Turbo Nutter), T-5R (my precious)
1966 Fiat 850 saloon & 1970 Sport Coupe
C1 (go-kart)

Been doing a bit of work on the Touring - getting it ready to sell. Replaced the steering wheel and gearknob for original items. Put a replacement radiator in it this week. (blew a hole in the old one last week while playing in the snow). winkeye Just to give it a good clean inside and out and it'll be ready to go.

Taylor.

New pads/discs all round

Pagid fast road pads
ATE power disc front, std ATE rear

Not too sure about the pads, I mean they're better than std, but the brakes still start fade after 5 or 6 heavy stops
Think this might be the combo of Castrol super fluid and normal brake lines though.
Will wait till I've put braided hoses on and SRF in before I make judgement on the pads, as then they have an equal playing field as when I had the DS2500 with ATE powerdiscs/SRF fluid/braided hoses on the 325i - that combo was pretty indestructible
Cheers,
Robin

i was away on holiday while the zone was being fixed, but had the car in for an MOT. Failed initally on 2 things, side indicator bulbs weren't orange and rear wheel bearing was shot. All replaced and passed with flying colours.
