How much does it normally cost?

I just spent 500 quid on my 320i cabby, i done a full service clutch and timing, valve adjustment, (bump), anyway the mechanic said the cam was sweet and the tappety sound is the tappets and not the injectors, just wondering how much it normally costs for the tappets before i get bumped AGAIN..

Please, let me know asap, would most apreciated

how bad are the tappets?
to be honest i dont like the sound of them sometimes. but ive heard other bmw's that sound worse, but apparently they are ok still.

i like the sound of the tappet noises on the newer bms,

also our 6 cylinders when your driving it sounds like running water,

(well one of those hollow tubes with little balls in, thats supposed to sound like water anyway hehe) you know the ones??

genuine ones from bm are bout 12quid each, or at least that was wot they were for mine but they may have changed....hope this helps...
