if you go on www.motorsportworld.co.uk/com there loads on here and seem to be slightly cheaper than anywhere else. i think the basic spax kit is Ԛ£250 might be cheaper. also i hear eurocarparts are quite cheap. it also depends what you want from your suspension. i dont know about the mtech kit im sure someone will be able to fill you in on this.

is pretty near you - near crystal palace in annerley.
Ԛ“H & RԚâ€a sport kits offer a 15 Ԛ—a20mm lowering from standard set up.
Reduce lateral roll, diminish spring compression during acceleration and are excellent when combined with Ԛ“BILSTEINԚâ€a sport dampers.
Ԛ£570 all in rough price (?)
EXPENSIVE
although the zone prices take some beating!!
everyone raves about the H&R Cup Kit - 60/40 but 60 is maybe too low for you. for decent shocks and springs there is little to compare in terms of price especially when you consider that (apparently) it uses bilstein shocks - which on their own cost loads...
how about c3 H&R springs and their best shocks - probabaly BOGE?

H&R springs are (apparently) harder than APEX springs - and they were pretty hard in my opinion...
How much are looking to spend??

The Bilstien E30 M3 shocks are very good but not cheap at about Ԛ£120ish a side from C3, but you only get what you pay for. As far as my experience goes Boge springs are crap (on the 4th set now due to them calapsing on the rears), and I can't help thinking their shocks probably aren't that much better. On the other hand I have only heard Good things about the H&R cup kit so maybe this is the way to go? (Not sure which shocks these use?)
Am I right in thinking that Bilstien have a lifetime guaranty on them?

As andy says bilstein sports dampers are the way to go, about 90 quid a corner i think but lifetime warranty, compatible with any spring, and self reset on bump of something like that
simon swears buy them!
and ian haynes uses them and look at his motor!
as for springs mate HnR are the way to go!

I have heard this too M5Pilot is the more qualified man to answer this question I think.
BOGE were standard shocks on some BMWs so I doubt they are terrible quality

Agreed Andy BOGE aren't the greatest but mr dark-sounds is going for cheap and he's only got the 318is so not huge speeds involved (no disrespect ali mate!)

Sounds like a good plan, unless your current ones are that shagg*d
Far better to get the best you can, rather than but cr*p and have to live with it. Bilstiens will make you smile every time you drive it

But an iS is all about carrying speed through the corners, cause it doesnt have much power (and also better turn in than the 6pots)toby wrote:Agreed Andy BOGE aren't the greatest but mr dark-sounds is going for cheap and he's only got the 318is so not huge speeds involved (no disrespect ali mate!)

boge gas are m-tech shocks
the shocks they are talking about are bilstein sport sprints
u would be better off with the normal sports, just get the shorter ones.
Have u thought about boge -40 springs from gsf. Soft ride so i'm told
H&R are very good and the ride is if anything a touch better than m-tech. (35-mm)
My alpina is on these now so if u want a look u can see it at Ace Lee

Could well be! Mine was def about 10mm lower than Dans 318isSimon13 wrote:it could be if u have saggy old springs robin! I think my alpina was on m-tech springs, i thought it sat way too high!
I think the ride height looks just right though on mine, I dont like em too low. Thats why I want to compare the 35mm drop as I want to replace the springs/shocks at some point in the (distant) future.
If it looks too low for me then I hear bilstein do a 25mm drop spring/shocks kit.
Cheers,
Robin

those springs are still on my old sport along with all the other mods it had lol
i might try them, but rubbing issues on the rear, and that bastard low front spoiler could stop me. I get the feeling i wouldn't get it out of my road cos of the speed humps!

are u being funny now?
better than 35's. But not by alot, i'm not sure the trade off in ride and practicality is worth it. It's only cos your lower to the road, centre of gravity and less body roll inspires more confidence. I'm sure when the car breaks though u would be going silly quick and dying in the process!

don't get me wrong i love the low, look.
35mm drop looks nice/good
60mm phat!
if we had no speed humps, kerbs and good roads which were 100% flat everywhere we could all drive around in low slung, g-unit, gansta cars from the factory.........or move to Holland anyone?

I am having the Bilstein Sprintline kit fitted to my cab at the moment. Supposedly a 40mm drop all round.
These feature the uprated shortened dampers.
The kit cost cԚ£340. Can't tell you what the car is like yet as it is still at the garage.
