Today has been a bloody long day. Started off with just the block in the car and now have 99% of it all in.
I would have had it finished tonight but Im missing the two studs that hold the thermostat housing in place. Hopefully I can get those during the week and maybe have it running next weekend!

One thing that is pissing me off though is that the prop now sits about 2cm further back even though I never adjusted the centre part. Now I cant get it to bolt onto the gearbox flange and I dont want to adjust the centre of the prop as it shouldnt have moved.

Good stuff Adam!

I spent all weekend changing the gearbox and drivers side CV joint on the Civic. Was grinding into third and fourth after numerous trackdays being heavily abused!! Almost ready for the 'Ring now! Was up until 2:30am last night (morning!).

Those early Civics use the same CV joints as the mk2 CRX's and I know they are really sore on them as I had one and all my friends with CRX's have all changed theirs.

The prop coupling would probably have lasted ages still but when its disconnected I thought I might as well change it. Still pissed off with the prop sitting further back now than it did when I disconnected it from the gearbox end about 4 months ago.

Nice one!

Loving the painted block, it's great to have the opportunity to get it all looking nice.

A nice shiny 6 branch would finish the nice clean look now!

Yeah it certainly looks nice now. I just hope it runs as nice.
I'd love to get a nice big fanny mould on it but Ive spent enough on it recently and next job is the suspension.

Standard apart from Alpina ECU and Cam. Ive no idea if these are the same as what you get in a C2.7 but the car came with the Alpina sports pack from new.
Before the engine went bang it was slightly quicker than my friends UK Imprezza.
