Have an odd problem that my indicator fuse blows as soon as I get to ignition 2 (without using the indicator stalk). Hazards work fine though. Anyone got a wiring diagram?

thanks mr lee... link doesn't work from work but hopefully is more responsive at home.
charlE30... if it says anything about the indicator fuse (4) blowing when going to ignition 2 without using the indicators that would be great
cheers guys!

On some versions of the E30 wiring, the glove box light works off this fuse as well, so check if this works as well.
Was working on an E30 last year with the glovebox removed, so had taken the glovebox bulb out. Kept getting a fuse blow, and found that the holder would short circuit if knocked with the bulb out.

Try replacing the fuse and switching the ignition on with the hazard lights on. Switching the hazard light switch disconnects the rest of the indicator wiring from fuse 4, and so willnarrow the fault down a bit.

genius... I think that's the one... I knocked the switch off when making my fag lighter socket work and just put it back without not much thought, planning on fixing it properly later.Brianmoooore wrote:On some versions of the E30 wiring, the glove box light works off this fuse as well, so check if this works as well.

I'll wrap it in electrical tape and sort it at the weekend.
Cheers
