Hi

My 325i was starting fine, but today

It will not turn over or start, when I turn the key all I hear is a single click coming from a switch marked S - E - 123.
I think it may be the inihiblator switch.

Also in P the car does not move, but select any other gear Drive, Rev, 123 and it moves, is the cluch dis-engaged?

How can I get the car started again?

All comments and ideas gladly welcomed.

P is like a handbrake, so car wont move.

it does sound like the inhibitor switch.

This very same problem was on a 325i ive just scrapped.

Try putting your foot on the brake, and while trying to start move the gear selector backwards and forwards and see if it works, did for me!

Think it probably confirms inhibitor switch fault.
