The fastest I have felt, was going was at 56mph BUT this was on a mountain bike, in Kenya at around 4500ft! Still think I had a gear left, but the road was getting rather potholey and there were no crash barriers!and I wasn't wearing a helmet....EEK!
In a Car 135(speedo) in my mates scooby 22B, was on a A road in mid wales which I used to think was straight......

110 in an Allegro Estate with a 1750 lump.
Scariest ever!! Absolutely everything vibrating (as they did at any speed), felt like it was going to take off. Well maybe not...

Well as im in my first car, the fastest ive been whilst driving is 110 in my 318i, stopped at that as i just didnt wanna risk doing anymore.
Im sure ive been faster in other peoples cars, but just too scared to look at the speedo lol
If were talking fastest in the quickest amount of time, 0-70 in 3 secs.

0-70 in 3 secs...? In what...?
I've been 0-60 in the fastest accelerating road going car in the world at Zolder. The guy that builds them is based up in Yorkshire and bases his twin bike engined monsters on the Tigers... (lotus 7-ish kits for the un-educated ones here
)
This is getting to be a bragging match now
I'm throwing the towel in...
Toby...? You got the E34 lump in now...?

160mph on my Suzuki TL1000s
140mph on the back of a GSXR1000
The fastest I've been in a car is about 130/140mph, done 120/125mph in my sport.
I was taken out once in a Ferrari 550 Barchetta didn't do any high speed's but felt the acceleration
that was the closest thing on 4 wheel's I've been in to the same acceleration as a bike's, it was unreal just a shame it was only a short ride I had in it.

Geeman- It was when i went over to the states last time,we all went to Florida for 2 weeks of car shows,Pro Street Racing,Hot Rod shows etc.And there was this thing that you could go on. It was basically a 200m track, and there were 4 mock up 'drag' cars on there.
They were each just a basic frame shell, with an engine.Which was a big block chevy (dont know what) running on gas.Basically, you strap yourself in. When the light changes green, foot on the pedal, then press a button halfway to change gear and the thing automatically stops you (its almost like a car on rails, its under its own control ie the wheels are running, but its fitted to a rail and brake)
Quickest bit of fun you can have! Only lasted 3 seconds lol, but the feeling of going so quickly

about 135 indicated (130ish?) on my old 325i trying (read failing badly) to keep up with an e46 M3!
105 in my old metro GTi16v (almost on the limiter in top)
85 in my old V8 Landie 90 (flat out, wind resistance making it a rather scary experience!
110 behind the wheel of a 3 speed auto granada 2.8 ghia! (then we came to a roundabout!
)

Speedo showed 130mph in third once (2.7 +4speed auto) ran out of road. I'm always too worried about speed cameras to push it too often. I really can't afford to get banned!

YOUR LEFT FOOT'S FOR BRAKING
Little man from Rotherham called Martin Keenan builds them and calls them Locost Indys, uses various engines but Fireblade is his favourite. He took me for a ride in his first Fireblade prototype onceGeeman wrote:0-70 in 3 secs...? In what...?

My old Cav SRi 130- about 120 indicated. Anything over 90mph felt very unsafe
The 325i Sport - 135 indicated, but still felt pretty stable.

A few good comments there regarding not just top speed, but what you were on/in and where you were at a certain speed..
45MPH on a dirt bike down a rutty dirt track can be far more exciting than 145MPH down the M1
Anyway, ive had over 210MPH out of the busa, south of France last year, my leathers pulled against me so tight they chaffed my back...the best roads ever for covering long distance at speed...we got thru 2 or 3 tankfuls of fuel at speeds of between 140MPH to 170MPH
The only pain in the ass was stopping to fill up every 20-30minutes.
Had an indicated 135 out of my E30 325 and indicated 145 so far(only the 1 good attempt) out of my E34 535, flashing an early CRX out of the way funny enough...I though the early ones topped out at around 125MPH?..This one certainly run out of puff around then.
All these are indicated speeds; true speeds can be a much, much lower, ive seen an indicated 150MPH turn out to be a true 135, so take em all with a pinch of salt

Bloody hell broken the magic 200mph barrier!

Anyone seen the 'busa turbo video?
499bhp
Goes by the name Ghostrider, I saw the original DVD a few years back and found this Ghostrider 2 clip on the net a few months back, awesome!
You're riding on his mate's R1 or whatever, topped out at 299kmh, and this hyabusa goes passed pullin a wheelie like this R1 is standing still!

Don't know what the top speeds are, but the early MK1 CRX only had 110bhp I thinkbryang wrote:Had an indicated 135 out of my E30 325 and indicated 145 so far(only the 1 good attempt) out of my E34 535, flashing an early CRX out of the way funny enough...I though the early ones topped out at around 125MPH?..This one certainly run out of puff around then.
MK2 non vtec 130bhp, vtec 150bhp, import jap vtec 160bhp
But the non vtec have a bit more low down pull and weigh less

Still the best car I ever owned <flame suit on>
Cheers,
