hi guys
i am wondering if somewone has a diagram or some technical information on how to make a diag cable from the car to the PC serial port.
i am also wondering if a older 15pin connector can be connected to the PC since it is a bit diffrent from the newer connector in the way it transmits data.
thanks!

that's not the answer i expected
anyway, i found out that is no point on linking the 15 pin connector to the pc because there is no data compatible with the PC except for SI reseting.
i'm still looking for a diagram or something on the 20 pin connector cable...

If you mean the E30 diagnostic connector, then it is a bit of a misnomer as applied to computer type diagnostics. It's connections are to the starter solenoid, altenator output and things like that, not the ECU, except for 20 (Tx), and 15 (Rx).

oh than truly is not much worth to it. i had an ideea that you can troubleshoot many electrical problems trough that, for example like electric windows, ABS diagnostics, Inj diagnostics, etc. so as i understand it, these complex diagnostics don't aply to the e30?
