Hi Gentlemen

I knew this would happen sometime or another! If i remove the lower panel screws from the console, the possibilities of me putting them back is virtually 0%
Is there another way to replace these bastard bulbs? it's the ones by the heater control and fan-speed switch...

if you remove the switches at the top of the console, there are 2 small screws. remove them, then remove the 2 large screws at the bottom of the console.
you should now be able to remove the center section enough to repace the bulbs.

I found the right hand screw to be fairly simple, but gave up trying to fit the left. The panel holds fine without it.

If one of those screws aren't in it will bother me... has nobody replaced the bulbs and panel successfully?

I've never had a problem having done it a few times on different cars.
Are you having problems with the screws holding the whole panel in, or just the ones holding the heater sliding unit to the console (the screws are hidden by the finishing panel which clips around the sliding controls?)
If it's the bottom screws for the whole panel try lining up the hole and the spar clip with a bradawl (or even an ordinary building nail) before trying the screw as sometimes when you push the panel back in place the spar clip moves and then you haven't got a hope in hell.

It is exactly that screw, bottom right hand corner...
