Hi,

As another E30 owner who's CL has decided to pack up - I need a bit of help.

I've been following some of the threads here but to no avail - but I need to get my filler cap open as it is currently locked and I'm running out of petrol! Is there anyway I can 'hotwire' the connector to the CL control module to force everything to unlock?

I have power on the red/black wire, good earth on the brown and get good pulses on the lock/unlock wires. I've opened up the module and everything seems to be intact.

Cheers,
James

open the boot
remove the light fitting cover
remove the carpet to the side of the fuel flap
then manually unlock it (pull the servo with your fingers)

Thanks Smithy - is that the same for the touring - just more stuff to move out of the way first?

i would assume it's just different bits of trim for the touring.

There should be a hole in the trim to stick your finger in and operate the solenoid on all E30s, no need to dismantly anything.
