325i conversion questions

Hi everyone.

I'm thinking about changing to a 2.5 engine some time soonish. Just a couple of Q's:

1. Will a 2.5 engine from an old 5 series work? (If also an M20)

2. I currently have 320i AFM, TB, Intake Manifold and ECU(motronic) etc. Will these work or do they need swapping as well?

3. Anything else I should know about?

Not sure of the engine you intend to use the block should be the same but there maybe a difference with the sump and other odds and sods , i'm sure better people than i can advise you , but you can't use the other items as they're specific to the 320
