cab rear window and demister questions

Does the rear window demister blow heated air or cold air? mine blows cold air!My plastic window is becoming quite scratched and slightly misty/cloudy now.I have seen a product that claims to "rectify"such things .anybody tried them?

Mine blows hot air and I use Autoglym plastic cleaner on the rear window and it works a treat.......

Yeah mine blows warm but is really noisey

thanks for some of the replies. mine blows cold.it does not appear to get warm.should it warm up fast. are heating parts available?.anyone else tried the autoglym on the plastic?
