E30 1/4 mile times

Just putting my name down for the Ultimate BMW show at Santa Pod http://www.bmwshow.co.uk/ and was wondering what a stock E30 325i would be running through the traps re. time/speed. Any E30 drag racers care to enlighten me.

looking at my timing slips from last July at York (on a very hot day) i ran 15.9 sec 1/4 3 times, terminal speed was 85mph.

my car is a 325i manual with piper fast road cam, FSE valve, chipped, K&N panel filter & scorpion system.

I was gutted with the times and thought it would have been quicker

The time I would have guessed about right, in my eyes anything less then 13 seconds is quick

surprised by the speed though thought it would be higher

you would need a whole lot of power & off the line traction to be getting an E30 into the 13's.

Pisses me off seeing the Novas with the XE Red Tops cruising into the 13's all day long.

Those times were with the car in "street" fettle, i.e. no stripping of the interior, door bins full of CD's and the boot even contained a pushchair and some other baby crap the missus was giving to a work colleague, but I doubt it would have shaved 1/2 a second off the time
