I left my car today at 9am to get to work.
I returned at 6.10pm to be exact only to find that i left my lights ON...

I open the door, Turned the key and the car started first time....No problem starting what so ever.

WOW...YES that is 9 hours with the lights on........

Surely it's the battery that's good?

You could be praising the E30 for the way the only lights on are the sidelights when the key is taken out as this is what probably saved your battery :)

Its like the time when I was 13 years old, I had two goldfish.
I woke up one morning to find there was only one goldfish, looked everywhere but to no avail. I went to school at 8AM got home about 4:30pm, went upstairs to find the goldfish under my bed. Put him back in the goldfish bowl with his brother, took a few minutes of backwards and forwards movement but he came back to life. Minus his scales on one side that had dried up. He lived another three years after the accident too.

I contacted the Guinness Book of Records but I had no proof.

What...no proof that the goldfish jumped out of the water and walked up some stairs and hid under your bed!?

Had a budgie when I was a kid..........it topped itself!!!!!!!

Covered the cage with a cloth before I went to bed. Pulled cloth off next morning and there was Tweety with it's neck stuck between the middle rungs of its ladder and only the tip of its tail touch the floor.

Cried for days

Having a "good old days" family discussion a few Xmases ago and the subject came up. My Dad confessed to wringing its neck because it kept waking him up and he stuck its head through the ladders to make it look like an accident.

Even my Mum didn't know so she gave him a whack on the head there and then

"Surely it's the battery that's good? "

Guys come on now of course i know it's the battery....Allow me this Pleasure of praising my E30......lol

Most other cars would have drawn more power from the battery If the same sittuation would have passed.

I called a friend who is also on the e30zone and mentioned it to him and we had a good old laugh about it, and i thought i was a good idea posting it.

HAHA...

Like mentioned above, when you take your keys out, regardless of the headlamp switch position, the car will only operate the sidelights/parking lights hence saving battery

more anally retentive attention to detail from our krout friends :P

Ollie you've obviously ever only owned decent cars!

The Ԛ£150 Citroen turd I had for a month (before having it crushed) didn't do it, neither do most other French scrap.

No but most have a warning buzzer

Dan, I'm well aware that that happens, but if you accidently leave them on for more than a few hours it'll still drain the battery (I know - did this and went away for the w/e DOH!)
Just wondering what a good high quality battery is for the iS
Those huge ones in the 325 boot are great, but dont think they'd fit in the front of the iS!
Cheers,
Robin

Hi.
The Battery is a standard 316i E30 Halfords battery and covers afew other models, i do not remember which ones. If i remember correctly the 318is comes under the battery's scope...So you may be able to use it.
Don't quote me on that, best bet is to try Halfords.

LOL i should get paid for this PLUG....
