But which external WG to use? 38mm sounds good, but will it be big enough?

Mark, a cheap nasty one from the states. will dig out a pic when i find one, (think there's one in the 1st few pages of my thread) but it's from SSautochrome, cost about $150 shipped and came with flanges, atmo dump pipe, and about 6 different boost springs
sounds a bit cheap to me. but the quality seems ok and it should get me going.

I love the title, STAGE 2, reminds me of looking at jdturbochargings site all those years ago(well about a year and a half).

It is going to be a beast, when i saw Gcorky advertising this, i thought, hmm thats perfect, but i have just comitted to buy a 200sx so couldn't justify the labour or the extra parts needed. How much did you part for one of these lovely holset items if you don't mind me asking.

So is this turbo the one thats going to let you pull 15psi all the way to redline in fifth

Widge, yanks are telling me I should see around 350rwhp with this turbo, so 400+ at the crank, but as you say, if it holds together it can obviously hold more!!! LOL!!

Top target 20psi, mine is seeing 15psi now and loves it, so with a bigger blower and less effort I should be making much much more!!

Thats next, have to order the daughter board as I have V2.2, racecars MS is V3, so has all the right bits to start with.

At the mo I'm using the std spark map. which isn't great but also not that bad either, sparks are to be completed before I try for anymore than 10psi. Hardware first, then BIG BOOST!!

Wasn't such an issue with the small turbo, it is now tho

Wastegate's here, HUGE fecker too, although it has two vacum fittings??

Also got the instructions for Tial dump valve, but none for the wastegate

Two flanges, two gaskets, two fittings and some bolts and it seems at a cheaper price too!!

Just waiting to ambush the parcel force delivery man now, please come soon

Hope you have enough exhaust gas to spin that turbo up. Those oil burner turbos have a pretty big exhaust housings.

If you need a hand with anything give me a shout.

It should be all done by then, just see how it goes for now, lots still to do!

Hopefully later this week, just waiting on the tubby to arrive, I seem to have all the other bits now, so just a few hours welding, grinding, blood and sweat to do.

Passenger ride would be cool dude, but this time it should be nearer 400 at the rear wheels, not the 300ish I had a lakeside or the stupid 350 odd (16psi) I was pulling on the way there It started this whole stage 2 off to be fair..... another great ide4a by me, not

Just out of interest, do you run with your FPR disconnected Mark?

Be interesting to see what the fueling does with the elevated inlet pressures with it disconnected.

Think with my whimpy boost it's not gonna be such a problem but over a bar of boost must have quite an effect?

FPR was disconnected on install day.

As I understand it ( please correct me if wrong ) if I had it plugged in I would cut fuel off on boost, is that right?

Having not had it connected I've never thought about it.

I still have the RRFPR in the shed, was thinking of using that without the vacum attached and set to 4bar when the holset goes on, seems a waste having it sat in the shed really.

Hows yours??? turned it up yet?

The standard FPR should keep the fuel pressure at 3bar (or whatever) above the manifold pressure, so on high vacuum at -1bar, it'll be 2bar absolute.

With 1bar boost pressure, it'll be 4bar.

Problem is that with it disconnected, if you were to run say 3bar of boost (high, but we know what you're like ) then no fuel would come out of the injectors

the MS Guru tells me i'll need 4 bar of fuel with my 30lb injectors.

i know i don't need the RR bit, but i do need an adjustable one.
