M30 / M20 PAS pump swapping

is the M30 (E32 735i) PAS pump the same as the M20 (E30 325i) one? or at least interchangable?

my PAS is all 'lumpy' after fitting the M30...

just bolt the m30 one back on m8 .

the pipes are the same size

i am using both the m30 pump and alternator

i'm using the M30 pump and alternator too.

i suspect it's the M30 pump that's causing the problem as it only did this after swapping engines (and pumps)... will the M20 one fit the M30?
