Depends if it's a summer car or an all-year-round car.
If all year round, go for blue as it'll look smart.
If it's just a summer car then black makes more sense I think. Easier to sell if your car gets smashed up, plus nobody will see the hood as it'll be tucked away in the hood compartment anyway

Depends if the blue is a good match - if it is'nt, I would go for the black to contrast.

Black would never contrast blue and would look crap. Besides regardless of how less the blue hood matches the colour of the car, it will look 100 times better than black

One of those Burgundy ones would look wicked, contrast with the Blue really nicely.

The blue is a dark blue.
The car currentley has a black hood on at the moment but I'm tempted by the blue hood...
I guess it would make more sense to go with the blue even if the match is poor

Does anyone know if the bentley E30 manual talks you through how to change the hood?

Blue baby!
You going to change the hood yourself...? Good luck dude. I'd change the tensioning belts while you're at it then... they can become slack as the years roll by.

I thought about doing my hood myself and everyone (including a guy that used to fit them ) told me not to...but if you do I have instructions and photos on how to do it...
Also (i found out later) that the hood from BAS Ԛ£380 (including a new metal bit) Fitting Ԛ£200 +vat
different manoufacturers have different shades ..
The same fitter would have charged me Ԛ£505 + vat.supply and fit the same hood.so buying it direct cost me Ԛ£50 extra

Where abouts are you mate. There's a place called Car Hood Ware house near me in Chessington and they supplied and fitted the Rieger one a couple of years ago for Ԛ£500 and it still looks new now

Not far. Just up the A3 mate. They do a mobile fitting service for the same price too. I think DaveD just had one done for similar money by another Company too. I'm sure i read a thread about it a couple of days ago
