i have a dilemma.
my 335i touring is quite a sleeper (only the exhasut and anthracite alpinas on show) but is currently incorrectly badged as a 325i. when i fit my new (rust free) tailgate, it'll become badged as a 316i!!! should i keep this or go for something else?

if you put a 335 badge on it ,the saxo boys ect.will think they dont do a 335,then floor it!!!!!!!

Oh the joys of attracting that stupid chav to a race! I dont get that with my merc hat much beause they just assume im an old man and to be honest I might as well be in it, its slow as hell... instead everyone cuts me up because i drive with the star on the bonnet... but when my 535 is back on the road... the tints make it a prime target for them to come and get embarrased (except for that little b*rstard with the 5 gordini turbo... he is a sod to keep up with around town!)
Its all about the 316 though, as some say... because it makes them think they can have you "cos da power to size ratio is like wikid on a saxo init, makes it like kwik as fook" however i voted for 320i because its a tad more believable when you here the 3.5 ticking over with twin pipes... unless you get widened steel rims with trims on.. then go for the proper sleeper look!
... just think of the fun thought (I have done this even in the 2.0ltr merc auto!!! the wonders of diff slack allowing you to break traction) when they sit behind you at the lights... revving away making a silly gut less noise with a 3.5 'jap style' exhuast on a french car with an air box that looks more like swish cheese...and you boot that '316' and all that happens is alot of smoke, while a deep throaty note bellows from the twin pipes and the tourings backside sowly yaw's round as you gain traction and set off up the road in a motion that can only be described as crabbing leaving an inverted ?? shape with rubber on the tarmac and look, look at that... you've lost the saxo in my mirror... and not because its "Wikid fast and like 'as 'ad you off tha line cos its a 1 6 16valve turbo nos superchiped HKS sport car init" but because its actually an 1.4 8v bag of w*nk with a 16v VTS badge on and you cant see it beacuse its back there with all your tyre smoke.... I think about this and enjoy doing it way too much
Hope you enjoy my day dream/rant! haha

Yeah, go for 335i, its pretty subtle and you have to be pretty close to read it!
I'm going with 332i on mine...the only giveaway of what lies beneath !

hehe! that's a cool idea!Cotty180 wrote:Either 316i or 335i
if you go the 316i route you could get a cartoon of a sheep going "woof" in the rear window
totally legit. only costing me Ԛ£50 a year more on the insurance!liam012 wrote:if its legit regarding tax and insurance
then 335i badge
be proud of what you got -
if its not , then dont drive it....
it's a tough call... i suppose the 335i route can look OE stylee and the whole conversion has been done keeping as OE as possible. all visible parts look totally standard!

Tought one, 316 badge will be funny but the 335 badge will get it noticed by enthusiasts at meets, shows etc and get them interested.

looking like the 335i route is the one to go for then!
i think the debadged option looks a little wierd on a white tourer. it kinda looks plain rather than smooth.

i suspect anyone who is going to be nicking cars is too thick to understand the badge anyway!
i don't think the badge will add to it's nickability more than the lowering, stainless exhaust, 16's, sport interior etc.
