Guys, just foun dout my alternators porked, put a voltmeter across the battery and saw 15v at one time when reving..

Would this cause my indicator fuses to keep blowing as they have been? was going to get a auto electrician out and they aint cheap! :(

Also,my OBC has gone out, nothing no display, nilch! im messing aroun dwith the stereo right now so i might of pulled the connector off,but if it just the one connection on the bottom of the display unit then its still there...again im thinking that those spikes might of blown the fuse to it?

Any ideas on any dmg all this could cause

Ok,il revise the question a lil in the 'hope' that someone can 'help' me..

My alternator is obvioulsy knackered as its pushing different values back through my battery as i rev the engine.. yesterday i had it reading 15v across the battery.. :S

Now my question please is:

Would this cause my indicator fuses to keep blowing? as this is whats happening ATM.. another alternator is on its way to me as we speak so il know sure enough myself but id like to know either way..

in another post i also wrote regarding feedback through various channels in my ICE install.. again cuz this be caused through a dodgy alternator?

thks in advance

Sorry mate, cant really be that much help, but it sounds to me that the alternator spiking could well be the cause of some of your problems. If it were me, i'd get that fixed before i started looking into them.

Sounds like the alternator buddy, should not go more than 14.4v max.
