The car is Nogaro Silver. The question is do i put it back to its original spec? Im not sure what or even if it had a bodykit on before this one (m-tec??)

Whilst i agree the front end isnt the best i do like the rear end and once i get the side skirts on it will look loads better.

Is it going to be detremental to the vehicles value if i keep the AV3 kit on it?

its an early motorsport...the later ones were sebring grey, i doubt yours had the m-tec kit on it, the bbs wheels would probably have been the "normal" ones i.e. not the drak centred ones, someone on here has the same unmolested motorsport.

back to original if it were me, if you didnt pay too much for it it shud not cost much to put right and then it may be worth a lot more to someone than its current state 8)

Can someone tell me what's so great about motorsports? From what i've picked up it seems you get a bit of extra leather and a power hood that probably doesn't work!

Is there a lot of call for power hoods when on a car used in motorsport then? winkeye

Dont ask me cos im new to this Motorsport game!! Bharat??

But i do have a working electric hood, full motorsport grey leather with sport colours stiched into the corners of the seats. Stiched centre consol in matching leather, colour coded stiched door cards, colour coded boot lid cover (tool kit on top) and its in Nogaro Silver...

Surely that should be called the "going to the country club for the weekend" limited edition, not a motorsport one

motorsports are ltd edition cabs circa 250 ever made with full options i.e. the leather console, interior etc, mechanically they are no different to normal 325i cab. the later ones came in macu blue, sebring grey, a handful of calpyso red and the last ones were martius blue, they cost circa Ԛ£25k in 1989

Motorsport is just a jazzed up 325 cab with some extra's but because so few of them were made (50 on a J plate in my Serbring Grey) they tend to fetch silly money (If you are the buyer) and Ԛ£dollar (If you are the seller) There is a Sebring Grey one for sale on a H plate on WLN at the moment and the asking price is Ԛ£10.2k and they will probably get close to it too cause i've seen them go for around Ԛ£10k. Worth it or not is another question, but that's the reality of the stuation. Well done Geoff

Mines an Early one too but BUG4LIFE has one in the same colour as yours mate, I would put it back to the way it should, it wouldnt of had the MTec kit on it but the Tech1 kit was an option on them.

Goeff you bought the car to enjoy it mate and not to worry about resale value. Just do it up as you like, but do what i'm doing and save all the original bits in your garage and then just put it back to original if you ever have to sell. That way you can enjoy the car when you have it and still get top dollar if you have to sell. I'm not going to mad on mine, but i sure as hell aint holding back on anything just cause it's a Motorsport. It's getting fat rims, pimp interior with screens and slammed on it's belly, but like i said, all the original bits wil be saved and can be transformed back to original spec in half a day winkeye

If they are worth that much it sounds like its worth returning to standard trim, selling on, buying a good nick normal one and using the 5 grand change to do it up with :D

Yeah, but the flip side of that is use it, look after it and sell it in a year or 2 for top money again. It's a bragging right to have a Motorsport, just like it is with a Cossi or something else special in any car manufactureres range winkeye

Like mine is it Geoff?

Mine is totally standard and I'm gonna be keeping it that way [mainly for future value]. You mess with your Motorsport the price gonna drop, the number of untouched examples getting smaller all the time...and mine only got 54k miles!!! Though it did cost me quite a lot from Munich Legends. Can I ask how much you paid Geoff [sorry if there is another thread - I shall look now]?
