Do you mean a check on the spec and build dates on a car?
If so, any BMW dealer should be able to help you providing you've got the chassis number (I think one of the guys on the forum works at a BMW dealer and could get you this).

My local dearlership told me to call them for info on my car as it wasnt originally with them.
