In an effort to reduce the unstable AFR readings i went on the Innovate forum and the main techy bloke at Innovate sudgest i wire it up slightly differantly(the earths) but it's still all over the shop :(

I wonder if i've got a leak on my exhaust thats affecting the reading ?

I know if i had an X pipe or some sort of bridge pipe up stream of the sensor it would help so the gas from all of the cylinders could mix and be "seen" by the sensor instead of it only seeing the gas from three cylinders like it is now.

I set the tick over AFR's a couple of weeks ago at just under 14:1 but(even before i rewired it) it was showing to be about mid to high 12's this week end, which is strange because i've not done any thing i can think of that would change the AFR's on tick over ?

Some thing else i tried was to see how much the ARF's on tick over would be affected if i disconected the vacuum pipe(pluged the end of the vacuum pipe) to the FPR, it richened it up by about 1 AFR, does this sound about right ?

The other thing i did was to reduce the accel enrich by about 50%, now if you snap the throttle open at 1.5k it's feels the same as before but if you snap the throttle open at 2k it picks up more quickly, which is nice !

I did this because the logs were showing the ARF's were going rich for a second or two after the throttle was snapped open, this i guessed was down to the accel enrich.

Because the AFR trace is unsteady it's hard to make out the rich spot so i've high lighted how it was before.

(ignore the leaner spike and sort of average things off and it's rich)

Till i can sort the AFR trace i can't do a lot more as i'm estimating the readings as it is.

I have also figured out how to save the logs so if some one wants to have a look at them PM your email ady and i will send them over.

You will need the free Emerald soft ware to be able to view it, click this link.

Andy,

The LC-1 is a sensitive bugger, when I first wired in mine, in the dark at work!! the readings were all over, no way they were right.
I re-wired the whole thing, proper connections and earthed both MS and the LC-1 to the same point, this has sorted the issue.

Why not try the logworks2 program to get the tickover afr's sorted, it shows AFR only, but should be spot on :D

Mark.

I've been into it and adjusted the volts V's AFR table and i've tried using all of the differant sample rates but it doesn't improve it.
