im gonna be recieving a bonus of Ԛ£400 in april from my
workplace.

my exhaust has just started blowing and i need a nice new stainless
anyway.

i can put a bit of extra cast towards it and possibly stretch my budget
slightly so what is the best exhaust full system i can get for
around this money....considering i love the growl of scorpions. :D

its for an 89 325i

ive had a rough look around and the prices say full/cat back systems.

mine doesnt have a cat and i want one from the manifold back basically
keeping the standard manifold til i can afford a 6 branch stainless winkeye

ive heard that btb are good but expensive and i would love to get a supersprint but also very expensive and i can only find a backbox
for a 325 as they only make systems for m3's.

any suggestions welcome.

cheers eun :D

Have you thought about a Sebring system ?
Just over the Ԛ£400 mark on the zone shop and supposed to be a great system.
It is the one I will be ordering soon. Can also be mated up to a Sebring 6 branch very easily.

A custom jobbie would not be as good as something made by Sebring or Supersprint. The quality of the internal components is brilliant on these.

Ive only seen a hand full of custom jobs that are good btu I dont know where they were done and how long they will last.

Sebring make all of the exhausts for AC Schnitzer.

The other options are Scorpion, Mongoose (dont do it!), Jetex, Eisenmann (back box only).

Larini - I will look into this company a little. I know they make 6 branches for our cars which give no power gains.

I've just got RC Developments to put a cat back system on my Merc cossie 2.5 an it was only Ԛ£330 fitted and looks/sounds fantastic ! He quoted me the same price for my 325 tourer. So I'd recomend a Powerflow system it seems to be good quality and not too expensive.

Whatever you do do NOT ever buy powerflow. Im talking from experience aswell as I know quite a few other people wo have made the same mistake. The quality is crap and they start to rust. Stainless steel isnt supposed to rust remember. Supersprint are awesome but not cheap.

A lifetime guarantee with alot of conditions. Mine had to go back 3 times in 1 year. My mate has been back twice with his and now is going to stick it on ebay and buy another. Both systems were bought from different shops aswell. The people who fit them are usually cowboys aswell. They are cheap for a reason mate. 8)

these are the three brands i had in my head in this order

1. supersprint (if only they made a full system for 325 not just the back box)
2. scorpion cos they seem a good all round exhaust
3. sebring as i know they make good exhausts but i have no experience with how they sound - i want a nice deep throaty roar. winkeye

i had powerflow when this baby was a 1.6 and it sounded just like a corsa/saxo.

i would never put this through that torture not when i know a scorpion sounds like it does.

when they say full system does that mean from the manifold back i.e. downpipes, centre box and back box?

cheers

Powerflow and other custom exhausts - they use generic boxes which arent specific to the car. They are usually a simple straight through design.

Sebring and Supersprints are properly designed and well produced exhausts. Supersprint test everything on the actual car.

Scorpion - alot of people like the noise but they are no where near as well made as the Sebring and Supersprint.

The Sebring sounds very very nice! Deeper not at idle and makes a nice noise when pushing it. They dont drone - silent on cruising speeds.

If I could myself afford it, Sebring Centre section with Eisenmann back box! The eisenmann's sounds awesome.

OK, I have had some ideas -

alot of people have wanted the Sebring 3 piece system but no angled tail pipes.

The supersprint rear box with straight tail pipes fits to the sebring centre.

It actually works out cheaper aswell at Ԛ£411.25

So now we have a new system! Sebring/supersprint!

You got to see the Supersprint back box - its so well built!
